The Wiegman Protocol for Lyme: Our Family's Journey
One of the most-asked-about Lyme protocols — documented honestly, from the inside. Here's what it is, what our family lived through, the full video series, and how to think it through with your own doctor.
Of all the things people write to me about, the Wiegman Protocol is near the top. And I understand why — when you're desperate for something that works, you want to hear from a real family that actually went through it, not a sales page. So that's what this is.
I documented our journey on video, day by day and dose by dose, precisely because I couldn't find that honest, lived-in account when we were deciding. Below is the overview, the full series, and what I most want you to know.
Start here: the overview
If you watch one thing first, watch this — it's my honest walk-through of what the Wiegman Protocol meant for our family:

What is the Wiegman Protocol?
In plain terms, the Wiegman Protocol is a structured treatment approach for chronic Lyme that our family followed and recorded. People search for it because they've heard others had results — and because, like everything in Lyme, there's a lot of noise around it.
Here's where I have to be careful and honest with you: I'm not going to publish dosing or a recipe. Not because I'm hiding anything — our whole journey is on video — but because the right version of any protocol depends entirely on you: your history, your co-infections, your tolerances, your doctor's judgment. A generic regimen copied off the internet is exactly how a lot of us got hurt. So I share the experience, and I send you to a qualified provider for the plan.

What I'd want another family to know
- It's a journey, not an event. The hard days are real, and so are the milestones — both are in the videos on purpose.
- Supervision matters enormously. The families I see do best work closely with an experienced, Lyme-literate doctor who monitors carefully.
- It's rarely the whole answer alone. For us, real recovery involved more than one piece — including whole-body hyperthermia and, later, immune work like Treg therapy.
- Your mileage will vary. What helped us may land differently for you. That's not a disclaimer — it's just the truth of this illness.
If you're researching the medications
A lot of people arrive at the Wiegman Protocol while also researching specific drugs like disulfiram and azlocillin. If that's you, I wrote a companion guide: Disulfiram & Azlocillin for Lyme: An Honest Patient's Guide — what they are, what's proven vs. unproven, and the real risks.
Questions to bring to your doctor
- Given my specific history and co-infections, is a protocol like this something you'd consider — and why or why not?
- How would we start, monitor, and decide whether it's helping?
- What are the risks and cautions I must understand before beginning?
- How does this fit into my whole recovery plan, not just as a stand-alone?
And if it helps to talk it through with someone who made these exact decisions for her own family, that's what I'm here for.

Wiegman Protocol FAQ
It's a structured treatment approach for chronic Lyme that our family followed and documented on video. Because any protocol and its dosing must be individualized by a treating physician, I share our lived experience rather than a generic regimen. Work with a qualified, Lyme-literate provider for your own plan.
Responses to any Lyme protocol vary widely. Some people improve meaningfully; others don't, or can't tolerate certain medications. It's best seen as one possible approach within a broader, supervised plan — not a guaranteed cure.
